Hockley Makes New Appointments for 2017
12 January 2017
The New Year has seen a number of changes at Hockley. Frank Howard, the company’s founder, will take on a new role as Chairman.
After 25 years leading Hockley as the Managing Director and many more years in the industry, his wealth of experience will not be lost. Frank will be taking semi-retirement, overseeing specialist projects and remaining at an advisory level on the Board of Directors.
Frank’s position will be filled by Tommy Gill, who joined Hockley in 2013 as Director of Commercial Operations. In his new role as Managing Director, Tommy will be responsible for strategic planning and the overseeing of commercial operations, including sales, marketing, registrations and technical.
Catherine Howard will become Financial Director. As joint owner of Hockley with Frank, Catherine’s new role as Financial Director will also incorporate strategic planning and business operations, alongside Tommy Gill.
Frank commented: “After some 50 years working in the chemical industry, the last 40 being in the production, formulation and export of pesticides, the time has come to take life a little easier. The spirit of Hockley will continue in the capable hands of Tommy and Catherine, delivering top quality products and services to pesticide users worldwide. I intend to travel more in the coming years in order to meet my personal target of visiting over half the countries in the world, and so I hope to meet our valued customers and suppliers along the way.”
